Simon Shendelman was born in Lviv, Ukraine, one of the country's largest cities and main cultural centers.

Simon studied fine art at a local art school and various design studios and became a professional artist that made living by selling his artwork.

In 1982 he emigrated with family to United States and settled in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he still resides.

In 1989, started business Commercial Graphics, Inc., a creative agency specializing in design, printing and marketing.

In 1990 he graduated from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), majoring in illustration, graphic design and advertising.
